South Carolina is currently one of the fastest-growing states in our country. Among the top factors is the natural beauty that surrounds us. With that growth comes development, particularly in the greater Greenville area - Pickens and Oconee counties.

The Advocates for Quality Development Upstate (AQD) is a volunteer 501c not-for-profit organization founded in 2006. AQD promotes responsible growth in Pickens and Oconee counties through education and informed policy. They support projects, legislation, and development that enhance the overall quality of life while monitoring compliance with the letter and the spirit of local ordinances.  They work diligently to protect our watershed, public safety, and the environment.

Volunteer and Membership Needs: While AQD continues to make significant progress in Oconee County they need more AQD members from Pickens County to represent AQD in person. If you don't have time to volunteer, a membership to increase revenue is appreciated. Please join other Springs property owners in supporting this organization to help protect the beautiful area in which we live. As a member, you will be informed of the AQD activities and successes, will be invited to AQD meetings, and help this organization achieve its goals.  A family membership is $50 and an individual membership is $30.
