The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards
What a long and interesting life McKinney Chapel has had. It was originally a log structure which was used as as a church and a schoolhouse. The people of the community saw to its construction; including the McKinney’s, Chapman’s, Stewart’s, Mosley’s, Ellensburg’s, and Bowie’s. To help preserve all this history, the McKinney Chapel Committee is researching the possibility of having the building placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today it's a thriving church!
McKinney Chapel Committee offers an ecumenical service on the 4th Sunday of the month at 10:00 a.m. Local visiting ministers from various denominations provide our services. Afterward, enjoy fellowship and refreshments under the outdoor pavilion from May to October and at the Clubhouse during the cooler months. Services are also held at major holidays.
Please come, hear and enjoy our inspirational choir directed by Kirby Colson. This wonderful choir is made up of local residents, dedicated to bringing something very special to our services. If you would like to receive news on McKinney Chapel Services and special events send an email request to
